Hi all

A while ago I got hold of a 2nd hand 12v compressor that I am trying to get some info on like if they are any good and how much air they push. It came from a mine vehicle I believe, they had them permanently mounted behind the seat

On top of the pump it is labeled Dynavac Model OP18 and on the motor it says Thomas Industries Inc, Power Air Division and Model 415CD636/12 194A. Think it also said 9.8amp. Its blue in colour and same size as most 12v compressors but quite a bit heavier than most I have looked at

Any help would be great...

Sounds like it might be an early model blue tounge. 9.8a is pretty low, my Bluetounge IV uses 16amp, so it's probally not as fast but Thomas make some of the best pumps in the world.

Are you sure it's a compressor? Dynavac make primarily vacuum pumps.

Have alook at this PDF file and see if any of the gear matches your compressor.
Dynavac are an Australian company that represents among other companies, Rietschle Thomas.

If it is a vacuum pump you will be the fastest type pressure dropper in the west!
