Finally decided and am going to order new Navarra diesel tomorrow (yet again on novated lease!! - I must be a sucker!). Two questions - what do you experts reccommend for: a) A tonneau cover - bearing in mind the wife will use it for shopping from time to time and : b) a liner for the tray and c:) an other must have accessories (delete the bull bar and winch - can't afford them!)

Hi apwaddo,
I'm intersted in the replies you get because I'm keen on the new Navara as
well. What's wrong with the novated lease? I think you really would be a sucker if you didn't lease and could. I have a Prado that I novated which ends the end of Feb, it's the best thing I ever did. Paying no GST on ANYTHING is a huge bonus to start with.
I have 3 kids and one of my main concerns is safety. I cannot believe Toyota built an all new Hilux and just chucked a lap seatbelt in the back! The Navara wins in this area and many others....as a Toyota man I was very impressed when I took the new Navara for a spin. So come the end of Feb I hope to be in a Navara as
well.

Oh I see! You started a can of worms there! Where I work over the last 3 years there is now over 300 vechiles on Novated lease and I have not found one person who regrets it. There are some golden rules though..... and one is you NEVER try and end a lease early or it will cost you big time, thats why I go 2years. You also get a much better price at the end of the lease because you can sell the vechile privately and offer the remaining years manufactures warranty.

Recommend
the tub liner and canopy.
Also make sure that the headlights have a buzzer if you leave then on. Most anoying without this.

Hi Apwaddo,
My recommendations are:
- Go the ST-R model, you really appreaciate the creature comforts while still being an excellent offroad machine
- Definately need the ute liner as the paint scratches very easliy in the rear
- I would go for a soft ute liner, not hard, as it is amazing how many tall items you throw in the back. Plus easy access from all around the ute section
- Only go for a canopy if you need to put stuff in the rear and keep secure
- install towbar and bullbar
Hope this helps
Tony

Do check out the prices on genuine accessories, we priced bullbar, towbar, steps, canopy,
snorkel, tub liner and
driving lights Nissan were way cheaper on all except the canopy, compared to ARB and TJM.

NO YOU WANT THE D40 ST-X with canopy as im sure there isnt a liner that blends in with the side load restaints.
love the rear room in them not sure on the 2.5 tdi but time will tell especially with a 3 tonne tow rating and finally manafacturers are adjusting downball limits in to an equation that effects gvm .
Nifty how the rear seats fold up and down and child restraints are factory standard although not sure about off road clearance as its lower now with front coils !
good to see pellet can fit in the back.
wait till jan and get a free bullbar any way.
