Not totally lost, I have a GPS ;-)) LOL
No further research has some what mitigated the issue, not removed it.
Great bit of kit, I'm also trailing the Bcon system for the people who are setting it up, bloody marvelous system.
My listed contacts are able to track my progress on the web and send me text messages from the Bcon web site to the HF and I can send them in return, my contacts then receive the message as emails.

The bcon system is interesting John, first I've heard of it and I've found the website for a read. It's similar to what I've been doing with APRS (automatic position reporting system) on the amateur frequencies. APRS is fully automatic and updates my position every 2 minutes. I see Lara Electronics is involved.....that'll be Peter James eh

I know Peter from my days with the local amateur radio club, Peter was a member. Life just got too busy for radio club activities so I dropped out. Yep he knows his stuff alright. Lots of info on the website but I can't find the cost.
