Is anyone else having increasing time delays on this site. Used to be virtually instant but now takes ages to access and read posts. Must be something to do with popularity!!

Past few days it has taken ages to open a thread - tonight no problems, it opened instantly!

I'm on broadband, sometimes threads open almost instantly and other times it can take over 40 seconds.

My browser spends a lot of time waiting for a response sometimes, the next second it is instant, been like that for a long time. I've learnt to live with it.

If this is the only slow site can't make a suggestion, as mine is good all the time (after action below taken ).

However, if it is the same on all sites you may need to install
spyware doctor

Prior to purchasing this programme i used Adaware and Spybot and thought this was getting rid of all the bits that slowed down access , and spied on my computer.

Following advice from a computer expert i installed programme and at first run through there were 64 spyware items it deleted , whereas the previous adaware and spybot would find no more than 5.

My expert friend said the record he found was over 1300 spyware items.

Pedro

This might help.
