Jimbo
Today I had a good old fashioned traffic light Grand Prix with a Jackaroo.
A comprehensive Victory for Hyundai.
And the Jack was a manual and my Jerry is an Auto.
Before any of you call me an irresponsible Hoon, just let me say, flattery will get you everywhere.

Good effort Jimbo,
My wife's car is a 3.5 Jack and I got to tell you there ain't many 4b's that will outgun it from the lights (when I'm driving anyway) so good effort from the "DAI"

modern day auto's change heaps quicker than any person with a manual. I can't drag off a mates 3.0l patrol auto with my manual. Also the auto keeps the hair dryer spinning between changes where the manual you need to be pretty quick to make sure you don't loose boost.

My 3.5 litre auto Jack will also leave a 3.5 manual Jack for dead at the lights.
My 158Kw will probably also leave your 145Kw behind at the lights. :)

Like we used to say in school Adam.....anytime.
Me, I've got nothing to lose. I'll simply say "Yeah, I got done by a noisy, modified, lairy, hoon boy's Jack. Mind you I've cleaned up stockies before."
If you get done you'll never live it down LOL.
You're gonna have nightmares about this, just on the off chance you miss a gear, or bog it down at launch or whatever ROFLMAO.
Until we meet again.
Cheers,
Jim.

I guess winning a short race (if both parties were serious and the vehicles were in identical condition.) at the traffic lights is a very good way of evaluating the superiority of one vehicle over another, not to mention the sanity of the drivers and their respect for the laws and safety of other road users and their passengers. Hopefully there were no younger persons in the vehicle who could learn from the great teachings of their parents/seniors.
Perhaps original cost, resale value, total vehicle longevity, cost of reasonable upkeep over a given period, quality of ride and internal comfort, insurance charges etc is not a consideration for the uninformed.
I am not the proud owner of either a Jackaroo or a Hyundai, so no bias on the vehicles, only on the sanity of the driver/s.
