Tod no need to, as Safeway/Woolworths +Petrol have stated in an e-mail to me that I published on this newsgroup, that they have never added ethanol or anything else to their fuel. They also said, as did
Mobil that they would put up signs advising consumers if they did alter, modify or add anything to their fuels in the form of an extender/alternative.
Safeway/Woolworths +Petrol would not be that stupid to tamper with their fuel in any way. From what I have researched and seen with my own eyes, I would say from a contamination/tampering point of view +Petrol would be one of your safest bets on fuel.
Safeway/Woolworths +Petrol is a large incentive for people to
shop for their groceries at Safeway/Woolworths. This discount petrol scheme is working very
well for them. Do you honestly think that they would be that stupid to blow it. Any saving they could make, which would be small, by adulterating their fuels, could never even come close to be recovered by the loss of grocery business.
Why do you think Coles Myer have purchased all
Shell Australia's company outlets - certianly not for fun. It is because they are feeling the pain of the Safeway/Woolworths +Petrol at their grocery checkouts and it is hurting them.
Go down to a Safeway/Woolworths +Petrol outlet and ask the manager to show you their daily checking regime. You could not help but to be impressed. You would like to think that this daily checking as per Safeway/Woolworths +Petrol gets done at all service stations - unfortuantly, it does not.
