engel fridge slide/ transitbag

If it is a genuine transit bag, I think you will find that they have like a pre-sewn button hole that just need a slit put between the 2 lines of stitching.

I found that tying the fridge down using the standard handle simply bent the handle. The brackets wouldn't work without cutting the Transit bag (good one Mr. Engel). In the end, I bought a Transit lock and screwed this to the slide. This has worked well for may years. To remove the fridge from the trasit lock you just pres a button to release it & then lift it out.
Note that my Fridge is the 39 litre model & is a 1997 model as is the bag.

Thanks for your responses, the way I overcame this issue was to make small holes in the transit bag with a nail to accomodate the screws . Then I screwed the brackets to the outside of the transit bag. I kept the handles on the fridge but needed to buy longer screws, this way it looks neat and the holes cut in the transit bag are covered and can't fray and are protected. Hope this helps someone else.
