Well, for those of us that remember, the famous saying from Captain Kirk, as he was asking Scotty, the engineer, to beam the team back up to the Enterprise.
Star Trek.
I just happened to view one of their sites, and it was reminiscent of the ship diagnostics screen from Voyager, which folks.... is almost the same as.... this forums header bar!!!
So, David.... are you a Trekkie?
Not trekking 4 x 4 stuff, but like Star Trek?
I am, I have seen ALL the 7 years of Voyager, and I want to marry 7 of 9.
So, are you?

"...It's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it..."
Dunno where I heard it, but it rings a bell.....
Tell me something, if the Captain uses the transporter, is it a "Jim Beam"????

Wolfie,
You do not happen to have all of it on DVD in the nice little box sets do you? I have been wanting to get these for ages but alas $90 per season and 7 seasons -
well maybe one day.
Interesting link in the look of the of the Voyager screen - it must be sub-liminal as it was never the design nor intended it just seemed to hapen that way.
But in answer to your question - I too have been devastated since the removal of these shows from late night TV. So yes a trekkie I am - PS: don't tell anyone.
BTW: I am glad you just managed to keep this on topic with the references to the site layout - good one.

Brew, it helps if i could store a back-up for you... You know, if your house burns down, you'll know a back-up is safe at my house... Might take some convincing to get them back though.

Well, I guess it puts a sort of different slant on the saying..."To boldly go, where no man has gone before."
I guess on the face of it, we are all simply Trekkies, but the pre historic sort.
We do go out and explore.
We visit other lands.
We visit other people.
We don't have communicators, but we have UHF handhelds.
We don't have Holodecks, but we do have Ozi Explorer.
We don't have hyper drives, we have 4 wheel drives.
We don't have plasma conduits, we have Piranha isolators.
We definitely don't have cloaking devices, EVERYONE sees us in our 4 x 4's.. Harold... Ray...
Still can't quite get my head around our equivalent of Seven of Nine....

Hey Wolfie :)
Yup - we have watched ALL 7 years of New Gen and are now in the middle of season 4 of Voyager. We have all the DVD's (100's of them) and find that they are an absolute God-send to watch when there's nothing worth watching on the box.... which is most of the time.
