Hi All
I need a step by step set of instructions to configure my ipaq to look for maps on the Sd card. What should I put in the Map& data Files and Image files settings?
I can find the maps on the card using the file explorer.
Thanks,Mary

Well on my copy of Ozi CE I have done two things. Both in the File>Configuration menu. Under 'Map & Data Files' add a line by pressing the ... button and then go through the menu it gives you and click on the folder you have your map files in on your SD card. Make sure you also have a tick in the box next to the ... button. You can also change the folder for your data on this screen.
Then go to "Image Files" which is also on the File>Configuration menu. Put your SD card folder which has your maps as Map Image File Path 2 using the same instructions as above using the ... button.
This should get you going.

Perhaps I should have mentioned I am using a Navman Sleeve.Would this have any affect.Have tried the above and set Map&data paths as suggested and shown by screen image kindly sent by Will
When i open Ozi it comes up with world Map on screen. Then FILE/OPEN MAP FILE gives me window open Map File
This has Name(nothing here but flashing cursor |)
Type map files(*.map)
Path \oziexplorer|Maps
RThe window below shows only the demo map and world map
Thanks for the help so far

I wouldn't think the Navman sleeve would make any difference. It is the Ozi CE software that is doing this.
I just tried the File>Open Map File and it also goes to the \OziExplorer\Maps directory. The reason there is only the 2 demo maps and the world map is because this is the default directory on the _Permanent_Painted_Coatings.aspx (not the storage card). Even with the suggestions I made above and a few alterations I just did on
mine (such as putting the storage card directory first on the lists) I could not get
mine to open straight to the storage card directory.
The settings above are so when you are using moving map Ozi CE will know where to search for the maps.
I never really bother looking for a certain map on my _Permanent_Painted_Coatings.aspx as if I want to look at them I use my laptop. I only ever use my _Permanent_Painted_Coatings.aspx for moving map and in that situation it finds the map itself or if you want a different one in the same position it is just one button press to get a list of other maps in the same location.

I intend using it for moving map so will pop it in the vehicle and see if it locates the storage card maps. Thanks,M

I just set up my Ipaq a few days ago & initially has the same problem (the OziExplorer website has a ton of information but I was just after a simple step-by-step guide too!!)
In the SD card just create an "OziExplorer" folder with two sub-folders something like "Images" & "Maps". Put the actual map images (ecw files etc) in the "Images" folder; & the map reference files in the "Maps" folder
In OziExplorerCE go to: "File --> Configuration --> Map & Data files" and define the map file path to be the same as your "Maps" folder on the SD card

No need to go to that extent....
\Oziexplorer\maps will do, put both image and map file there...

What would be a minimum ipaq for using OziExplorer (and maybe Destinator) . Would a 2110 do the job??

Hello - I have 2210 and it does the job perfectly (apart from the fact that the screen is a bit hard to see in
bright light) - I use Cf card GPS and 1 gb SD card for maps.
Cheers
