I own a LWB GQ Patrol and I am searching for S/H steel bull bar and a roof rack. Would rather try to save cash than buy new if possible. Was wondering if roof rack from other fourby's such as 80 or 60 series Cruisers would fit? A steel bull bar from a MQ Patrol? Anybody's experiences are appreciated.

Barnesy,
Which state are in, this would help?
As far as the roof rack goes, if it has adjustable legs then it it possible for it to fit. The bull bar is something else. Because of the chassis rail width and the distance from the front of the vehicle to the chassis and the mounting bolts not to mention the height of the bonnet and lights it would be very hard to get a non GQ bar to fit and to look good.
The Trading Post is a good start and may be E Bay. The trader section of this site is also good for a look and you can even place a wanted ad.

G'day Barnsey,
Everything Wayne has said is correct, unfortunately if the roof rack has fixed legs then only one off a GQ will fit, and no a GU one won't fit, also be carefull if you're offered a bull bar from a GQ ute with leaf springs, even though it's a GQ, the leaf spring models have a different chassis width.
While you're looking for a buulbar it might also pay to look for a 'winch compatable' one, that way if you decide to fit a winch at a later date it will save a lot of extra expense.
Happy hunting

Ring Ivan Wines at CVT Bullbars in Mt Isa as he makes bullbars that work.

I once forced an MQ bullbar onto the front of our GQ, it is possible but is a very very dodgy fit and would be near usless in an accident. Go the extra and get a proper GQ bar!

Roofracks wont fit due to different widths of the trucks gutters, and height of roof to gutter etc. they come up heaps used.
the bullbar, same thing they come up regularly used, just wait
