Battery Terminal Gunge

Fellow Citizens, Do those green coloured pads that fit on the battery terminals do any good, just cleaned a lot of gunge of both terminals which got me thinking about those washers.

Yep they do help. Also spray lanolin pressure pack on the terminals also helps it is available in stores like supa cheap.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Get some really greasy grease and rub it into the pads before you shove em over the terminals. Make sure you put heaps of grease on em.

Lanolin grease is perfect. Lasts for ages.

To save having a sticky, gooey mess on the terminals use "Battery Post Protector". It comes in a spray can, about $12 and does a great job. Get the posts and teminals clean first then spray sparingly but carefully over the connection. Good luck.
