I have just bought the new Hilux SR V6 dual cab. I am planning to fit BF Goodrich tyres 265x75x16 to the vehicle but have been told that it would not fit as it would touch the body. However I am planning to fit the ARB bull bar (which eliminates any possibility of touching the front bumper) as well as the Old Man EMU suspension (which would lift the body by 40 - 50 mm). Has anybody done the same convertion and will it work.

I've got the SR dual cab diesel and I have 16 inch alloy - I have fitted Cooper ST tyres LT245/75R 16's on mine and I have never had them scrape etc You want 265's I see maybe they will scrape without the lift - I have not done the lift - yet. Sorry cannot help.

I have just got a new SR dual cab as well and am having trouble getting info on tyres that will fit. I was hoping to use 31x10.5x15s in a mud terrain but didn't want to fit a lift kit. Can I get a mud terrain in 247x75x16s. I have the standard 16in rim on at the moment but have been looking at the SR5 rims or going 16in alloy. The tyre shops have been less than helpful so all advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Andries,

great choice of fourby,
the only thing you will need would be flares (rubber).

Looks like we think alike. I am going to fit the same rear bumper as you. Looks great. Your rims are they 16" or 15"? On the picture they appear like the standard 15" fitted with 31's. I would like to know whether I can fit 16" with 265/75/16.

Yes 265/75/16 will fit with a 2inch lift.
On mine i run 31s on SR5 15" rims. I have King Springs 2" lift in the front with bilstien shocks allround. It's been to Cape Yore and back no dramas. I put a Kaymar rear light on the wheel carrier.

Dave.
