Hi all
Bought my tekonsha prodigy brake controller from ebay and now need to fit it....the question is where? Prado GXL TD 120 series.
I have had a quick look under the steering wheel area and am not sure where is the best spot. Anyone else with experience willing to share?
Cheers
terry

Mine is in
the spot where ash tray is - just remove the ashtray and put it in there...

Terry
it needs to be very easily got at for manual braking, if the trailer starts to swing or if you are crawling down a steep bit using engine braking, use the manual braking button to slow the trailer.
on my previous Prado I had it mounted just to the left of the steering column under the dash. In my current 100series, the dash is too far away and it's in easy reach under the steering column.
Hope this helps

Hi Terry
Mounted
mine on the side of the transmission hump alongside the gearstick just in front of the
seat (with the
seat in the foward position) pointing upwards, easy to reach, works for me
