Has anyone replaced the original centre console in a 62 series landcruiser for a bigger/better version? If so, what model vehicle/place did you source one from. Preferably one with cup holders would be good.
Thanks,
Ron.

I had a 60series a few years ago and replaced the old 2 1/2 seats with a couple of bucket seats. As far as the consol is concerned I made my own out of MDF. It was quite a bit bigger than the standard ones and had provision for beer cans in stubby holders, drink driving was not such an issue in those days. The top area was padded with foam and the whole thing was covered with vynal, excuse the spelling and there was a CB radio fitted at the rear of the consol. Try it it is not hard to do and alot cheaper

Question for Ray Bates.
What sort of buckets did you use in the 60 series? Was fitting them a problem?
Thanks
Mike
