Does anyone have the new ARB suspension for the current model Hilux, or is there any info out there on other brands TJM etc. The lux needs a lift urgently as it is far to low, any help or advice?

Hi Turbo Diesel
The latest 4x4 Australia magazine has an article on a lift from Opposite Lock.

Yes, TD, I've got the OME upgrade front and back. Went for the 'medium grade'. Big improvement. Got about 43mm lift at the front and 70mm at the back, but that has probably settled to a bit less, particularly at the back. Fully loaded, I'm probably only 20 odd mm higher than standard at the back, but without I'd be 40 to 50 mm lower!!

Also, I reckon the ride is improved off road. Wife reckons it feels a bit less stable on road, but I haven't noticed. Might just be the extra height.

Anyway I'm happy. Between this, removing the factory side steps and the factory rear step and fitting the ARB bull bar, I've got heaps better approach angle, departure angle and ramp over. Pretty good off road vehicle now for an IFS that is so comfortable on road.

I was at Fraser in Sept with current set up. No problem with clearance. Only problem was getting around Indian Head on the way up. CT was fully loaded (about 1.2 T) plus we were carrying spare fuel, firewood, lots of food, beer etc. In addition, on first go I probably didn't give it enough stick considering how dry and deep the sand was.
Had a great trip and we'll be back for the Australia Day week-end clean up, then again in Sept this year.
