Hi all,

The new database is installed and running. I have made a few changes to the data and ensured that the whole history back to the first post is included in the current database.

The only problem with this is that it now appears that a full search with Topic and Body selected for either Archive or Both will timeout. Body search active is instant however loading up the entire DB for a body search seems to be a problem. I will be working on this so for now please limit your searches. If you specifically want to perform an archive search use this Site Search (Forum Archive) search.

Anyway from the testing I have done thus far it appears to be much faster, so lets see how things go tomorrow. Please let me know if you have any problems.

Hi all there was an error in what I had done (fixed now) it caused all posts you have put in to be missing, the alert emails have gone however the data did not get into the forum. Can you please re-enter the updates that you have done this morning or get the info from the emails and re-paste it.

As mentioned the issue has now been resolved however there has been a problem.

Furthur to this I have just run a counter update to correct the counts on the numbers of replies and followups.

So just to repeat any posts you have made this morning will NOT have been recorded in the database. Sorry

As an infrequent user, even I have noticed how much faster everything is running.

My last post seems to be hanging around.

Excellent work.

Well done David, I am pleased you were able to correct that bug in the system so early after the big night. It has been a trial to make sure everything has been ready for todays rush with us tragics...... Our expectations of the site are ever higher.

Hi David I noticed that in the forum the topic heading is there & the first line is missing. That is before you open the post. That's what it was like don't know how long back.

Rox,

This problem has now gone away thanks to the some feedback/advise from Member Garry. It was an issue with the new database.
