Hi all

Spoke to a fella who knows a fella who says Toyota is rethinking the release of a 3lt com rail for the prado 120.

The story goes sales are slumping on the prado after the release of all the other com rail deisels in to the market and Toyota will be anoucing in april the date of release in to Australia (end of June06) of the same motor as the hilux into the Prado.

they will of course put their spin on as to why they are releasing it more than 12 months early than they had planned.

Now all we need is Nissan to bring one out in 4.2. That would be nice.

gday mate,

I work for toyota altona and I can confirm after talking to a few big-wigs that Toyota has been planning for this engine to be slotted into the Prado for a while, but bacause of the demand around the world for the new engine in the hilux they cannot keep up with demand. So when they catch up with the hilux, the Prado will get it guaranteed.

Go hard or take it home!
