It's not April the first is it ???

I thought the iO only came in a short wheel base (DUH....2 DOORS)

I may be wrong tho, so I do not cast dispertions in your general direction.

We had a 4 dr wagon from new for 4 yrs (lease vehicle). Nice car on the road (auto), did 40,000 ks in it. Tyres needed replacing in that time (Bridgestone HT dont wear well), set of front pads. Normal servicing in that time, no issues. Clearance can be an issue if off road, and slightly more aggressive rubber is handy. The 5dr wagon had the bigger motor which worked well, we often did sydney/central coast runs for the weekend.

My daughter is also on the lookout for a 4wd, and is a bit miffed that we got rid of the iO. Seems the next choice to that is a Vitara (which seems a bit larger anyway), or a Jimny. At least they have low range as does the Io.

Cheers,

Michael

For the same bucks look at an older style Sportage (2000+, "longbody", no spare on back bumper) ~$15-18000.
