isnt that near karumba, and if so i just returned from there fishing both the mouth of the norman river and the freshwater inland flinders river. locals told me to come back for a more successfull time in feb and march, after the rivers have had a good flushing. 2000 k from brissy was a long way to go to get one catfish

we are a little closer than brissy but not much just north of you so hopefully
if we go early april we may just be lucky

NOW is the best time as it is on the warm side. After April your wasting your time. Crabs are on the go in the Burdekin now! Catching heaps of Barra now but can't keep until Feb.
