I am planning on making and installing my own storage drawers for my 60 series GXL Landcruiser. The problem I have, is that even at a minimum drawer depth of 220 mm. they will obscure the original radio speakers mounted on the side rear panels. If I make the drawers any deeper, as I would like to, the speakers will end up completely encased in the side cavity. Any ideas on how to overcome this problem? I can't see an appropriate place to move the speakers to.

How about putting them in the draw system itself, I assume you are going to cover the sides above the wheel arches. It’s here I would put them, above the wheel arches as far forward as possible. You could even box them on a 45-degree angle facing forward to get the best sound. This way your draws can be as deep as you like, even to the top of the back seats.

Thanks Chris, that's an option I hadn't thought of.

I asked week before last at the local Gino Audio place, they didnt really have any ideas, or werent interested.
The only thing I have seen is a roof mounted across the back from granny handle to granny handle a mount made with speakers in it facing down.
Anywhere near on top of the unit will be in the way of packing.
