alliminium bullbar

just a quick one have a alliminium bullbar any good ideas on the best way to clean and polish them thanks. dags

The only way to keep them clean is to polish them, and polish them, and polish them, or they can be powder coated to match the colour of the vehicle and no more polishing.
There is metal polish available from most 4WD shops.

Brasso With a Scotch Bright Thingo to apply/ Polish and a good soft Rag to remove it is the best way I have found

The Scotch bright Cut’s polishing time by half I think as it reduces the need for a lot of that elbow Grease.

My bar is like 8 Years old and has probably been done 3 times.

ive got alliminium bar on my 100 series looks like a mirror and all i do is use oxidising agent and while it is still wet polish it with purple polish as the directions say try it you'll be amazed with little effort

Though I'm pretty happy with the method I've been using (explained in another thread not too long ago), this "purple" stuff has been mentioned quite a few times, & I may just give it a go (if I can ever find any!)....

Would you care to elaborate on the "oxidising agent" you mentioned??
(what is it, & how do you use it etc.??)........ TIA...
