At the risk of yet another thread refering to the dreaded ZD30-
I have the diagnostic and the method for interrogating to get fault codes, but have no idea where the ECU is on the new truck. I suspect drivers side kick panel, but if that is so, it is a damn small ECU.
Is the diagnostic plug located there as
well? And the flashing light for codes is, I imagine, on the ECU. Any Pootrol owners care to enlighten me?

Found a site that lists the location of ECU's in most cars, saves me pulling trim off everywhere :-)

David,
I took
mine (Oct 2001) to the local Nissan Dealer last week (Thursday) and the mechanic came out with his electronic diagnostic gizmo, plugged it into the plug located somewhere under the steering column up near the dash ( could'nt quite see where exactly where, as he was standing too close for me to see, I was standing behind him observing) He then proceeded to punch the keyboard of his diagnostic gizmo every so often, and at the end it gave a printout of the findings.
Everything checked out OK. I've stapled the printout to my service book with the date and time written on it. All this was free of charge.
