Stud sizes are the same, but the centre hole is wrong by a couple of mm. When putting the tojo rims on Nissan, they need to be opened up a frag. But you can't put the Nissan rims on the tojo as the offset will foul the tie-rod ends.

lambo,
No such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers.
My trailer has patrol hubs and prado wheels fit perfectly.

peopel get killed all kinds of way in this life.. I guess if your willing to get on the toruma dn say peope might die by doing 'this' or 'that' , why not say what it is about them. .I'm sure peole have died driving cars with alloy rims too, but it may not have anything to do withthe rims when they hit that horse on the rd or swerved to miss that Roo and hit a tree etc.. so , go on.. tell us all why 6 people died using split rims.....

thats funny Every time there is a fatality or near fatality on a minesite we get alerted in the form of memos, emails, safety alerts etc and I cant recall 1 the last one I heard of was years ago with a heavy machinery split rim - never heard of someone being killed by an LV split rim

snailbait,
I might agree with you that split rims have killed people and can be dangerous, but so can hi-lift jacks ,snatch straps,
winches etc..I would guess that those killed as you say in the mining industry were because of total disregard for safety standards on heavy machinery as I have used and changed split rims for many years on my Troopy with no problems and will continue to do so.

hi Rambler
split rims a dangeres because of the danger of the split ring not seating propley when inflating of not being in a cage when inflating
the tyre has lost pressure and the the split ring has dislodge a bit and you dont see it and you air up and the ring dislodges
just because you have not heard of the problems dont expect other people not to have seen it or not
a lot of people use becide you selves
if i can see the report at work i will post it on the site with pics
