I would like to know whether this engine has a aluminium head ? Any website with the specifications for this engine? I believe this engine has the electronically controlled fuel pump and so I would be interested in any dramas or opinions or if no problems how many kms your vehicle has covered. I have a 1994 2.8 rodeo and I am just considering whether to buy a 2000 rodeo with the 2.8 or get the 3.0 diesel in a 2002 rodeo. Any information regarding the 2.8 versus the 3.0 litre would be appreciated

Cast iron head not aluminium also push rods not OHC and 2 valves per cyl. Very simple and reliable engine, Very much the same as your old 2.8 except for electronic pump.
