Could anyone tell me how much or if there is any water in the Cooper Creek at Innaminka and also the Wilson River at Noccundra. We are planning a trip around that area in the near future.

My info is a bit out of date & others may be a bit more recent. We caravaned on the Common for a week at the end of August & although there was pretty much no flow at the town bridge the town water hole contained plenty. The bird life was spectacular & probably is even more so now.

G'day Wheelie,
We were in Innamincka last month. The Cooper is down but plenty of water left to swim and fish in.Policemans Waterhole is a good fishing spot and Cullyamurra Waterhole is the best camping spot it has everything(except wood)

Plenty of water in the Cooper and plenty of Coopers in the pub.

Wheelie.
The Cullamurra Waterhole is about 16 klm from Innamincka along the Nappa Merrie rd(toward the dig tree and Qld border)

It is part of the Cooper creek , about 10 klm long 100 yards wide and about 80 ft deep. Apparantly it has never dried up .It is full of fish(yellow belly and cat fish) and full of turtles.

There are aboriginal carvings right up the end (what they call the Cooper choke). There are toilets every 500 yards and a great spot to camp, but as I said bring some wood with you.

We camped there last month and were the only ones there. The camping area is about 4 klm long, you could put thousands in there easy.

The only draught beer that Des has at the pub is Coopers, and believe me it is absolutely icy and coming from a Reschs drinker who had never tried the stuff before I'm now a committed Coopers fan.

Yes we have been there before. The Sunday Roast is great too, but you have to book in. We were nearly driven insane by the fly's and finally gave in and brought a fly net at the trading post. Well worth the money!!! All in all a great place to rest for a few day's!!!!!!
