Can someone tell me if you need a permit to travel the track from
the Tanami track, near the
mine, up through Supplejack Downs,through to Hooker Creek and to the Buntin Hwy near Wave
Hill. The tracks do not show "permit required". Wonder if anyone has been up that way. Thanks.

I did that track a couple of times in the 1980's and didn't need a permit then.
But times change. Contact the relevant Land Council in
Tennant Creek for further info.

No permit required, but when I spoke to the
police at Hooker Creek (Lajamanu) they seemed very interested to know who travels the track, just in case you run into trouble.
I have the phone number here somewhere if you can't find it.
