2 Green Bottles Sitting on the Wall

To all those that have missed the boat on potentially a great way of putting faces to screen names, at a get together organised by member Pezza, at Bigriggin this weekend. I have one thing to say.....
Then there were two green bottles sitting on the wall, and if one green bottle should accidentally fall..... there would be one other green bottle to soften the fall or pull you out of the $hit.
Pezza, I'm still looking forward to a great get together that the rest of them will say where was I that weekend.

If this doesn't make sense, drink many beers and try to understand why so many people say they want to catch up but when given the opportunity do not.

To all those that can't make it this weekend, see you on another gathering.

Cheers Trevor.:0) hiccup.

Hi Trevor,

I have been holding out just until I can be sure that neither work nor family are going to throw something extra at me. Just checked the list though and it has dropped from 4 to 2. Anybody else like me out there who just has a fear of commitment :)?

Next week I should know if we can make it though it would only be for Saturday and Sunday.

Tim.

Tim,

Pezza originally organised the trip to Bigriggin, so everyone (including those with soft roaders) could meet and then we could work out where to go exploring depending on cars and experience of drivers. As there was only 2 of us left on the list (as of last night) Pezza and I decided we may as well go somewhere else where we can get the tyres dirty and so decided on another venue. I may be speaking prematurely as it is after all a gathering organised by Pezza, and the final decision will rest with him.
No doubt Pezza will be along soon to confirm or deny this.

Tim, we all have a fear of commitment. That is why I have been engaged for 15yrs :-)))). But never married.

Would love to see you this weekend, regardless of where we meet.
Trevor.

We would have been there for sure..... except that the Fraser Island Cleanup is on that weekend as well! And we had committed to that when it was announced some time ago.

Bigriggen is a nice park, you guys will have a good weekend there, we'll try to get to the next local gathering.

Cheers

Hi Brian,

I did not (and am sure Pezza also) know about the Fraser cleanup, or no doubt we may have made it for another weekend.
Have fun over there as we will try to here on the mainland.

Regards Trevor.

No worries Trevor..... these things happen..... maybe next gathering we could organise it for Goomburra Camping Ground, which is a brilliant place and Janowen Hills is just up the road for a bit of wheelin'.....

Just a thought....

Cheers

Hi Brian,
Trevor is right, I didn't know about Fraser, ( didn't even know about this post till last night!)
Have fun over there, and sounds like Goomburra is the go in the near future, hope to see you then.

I had my name down and was one that had to pull out. I was looking forward to the trip as I have been out of work for 8 weeks and been sitting at home looking for work instead of out camping every couple of weeks. I have just got a job in Mackay for 3 months which I leave for on Monday (tomorrow) hence the reason I had to pull out.

Sorry Guys.....

Regards
David

David,

Pezza has been keeping me informed about the possibility of you and the work situation up north. I wish you well up there and hope to one day catch up either in Mackay or back down here.

Best of luck up north, Trevor.

Hi David,
I got your email a couple of days ago and should have replied but was too slack.
I'm really glad it came through for you in Mackay, and a w/e away is not that important compared to a new job.
There's always another w/e, and one up around there sounds good to me!
All the best and I hope it goes well for you and your family.

Hey Perry! Jo here...

So wanted to ask again about Bigriggin....

We are keen to come but Mark doesn't want to spend all the days just sitting around you know, He wants to know if there are places where we could go trekking etc, of course nothing hard core but something to learn from and have fun at the same time.
So there is you, Trevor and Tim going, any wives going along as well?

That is the email I just sent to Perry, but thought I would post it here as well in case one of you guys saw this before Perry saw his emails..

Hi Jo,

My wife and son will be attending, also Pezza's wife and son should be at the gathering, only prob now is we kind of agreed on another location??? This is not set in stone yet and I will wait for Pezza's input on this matter. The new venue (if it goes ahead) has state forest tracks going from forest drives to hard core so all skill levels could be catered for.

Regardless of where the gathering is, I hope to catch up with you and Mark.
Best Regards Trevor.

Jo,

Bigriggin is (from memory) $6/night/person?
Borumba Deer Park $8/night/person for camping or add $2 for power.
I will call you if I can't get a hold of Perry shortly.

Regards Trevor.

Bob,

No probs about not being members, I do not want to take over the gathering that Pezza has organised so I'll leave the final destination to him.
The altenative that Pezza and I discussed yesterday was to camp at Borumba Deer Park (near Imbil) and foray into the state forests up around Borumba Dam ??? (permit from Kenilworth forestry required) but as I said it is Pezza's gathering so I'll leave it to him.
Hope to see you this weekend.
Regards Trevor.

G'day Bob,
The place up at Imbil sounds the way to go, as Trevor said, there is some wheelin to be done at the nearby forestry to get us into trouble and keep us from getting bored.
Visitors to this site are as welcome as members on these gatherings, so nothing to worry about there.
Was away all day sunday, hence the late reply.
Hope to see you there
