Terracan

Mine's a Petrol Flappa. Diesel wasn't available when I got mine, June 04. 33,000 km, a few warranty issues; diff, rattly muffler, leather wore through on steering wheel, squeaky seat. No major probs and all fixed under warranty. I thought they may have bucked at the muffler 'cause it's got a few battle scars underneath, but no worries.

As well as the 5 year warranty, it's genuinely capable off road.

Anyway , it would seem the "problems" are across both diesel and petrols , and nothing to do with the motors themselves.

Cant see why there would be.

The V6 is a Pajero motor , and the diesel is under licence from Mercedes.

2002 3.0L Manual. Not one of the bad ones necessarily, but always a worry in the back of the mind.

I have hear of only 1 CRDi motor going, and that was because the owner (in the UK I think from memory) didnt do his maintenance on time and the timing belt went.

The auto with the CRDi engine is just sweet! Tows the Rapid very nicely too. Did 8,500 kms Adelaide to Darwin and back in July, and it didn't miss a beat all the way, hot or cold.

Can't praise the Terracan enough.
