Hi Steve

Think these motors were from the Johnson (OMC) stable and appeared in Australia in the late 70' early 80's. The name Javelin was long associated with the OMC company in the States. Think the Aus ones were 85 or 100Hp engines and to carry the Javelin name would have had some difference to the other OMC engines being sold here at the time (maybe twin carbs or the first of the V4's or something similar??). Guess I would be pretty wary of any outboard this old and get it tested before purchasing, but being an OMC should be parts around.

Cheers
