I have seen a few of them around, but have no personal experience. based on a pretty rugged 4WD so should be OK. May be a little top heavy, as all these campers are, so take it easy on the corners in the bush.
You can also hire a complete outfit with all the camping gear you need at several
places. One such outfit is

Hi David,
I am sure it is heavy but it is the only 4wd camper i have seen and suitable for 4. My wife prefer not to sleep in a tent in the outback.
Thanks,
Juan

Yes I understand that completely. Should be no problems, as I said it is built on a pretty rugged platform so you should be able to take it pretty much anywhere you want to go.
Understand your wife's concerns and the vehicle should suit your purposes, but I know nothing of the company.
My wife had never slept in a tent or in the outback when I took her on her first trip. I took a swag for a 5 week trip- we didn't use a tent, just the milky way for a ceiling. :-)
She is converted :-)
Her first ever
campsite is in this
