Is anyone using a tinny tosser or the side loading boat loader or are they one and the same thing.
I have seen the Freestyle loader built in
Sydney but it looks a bit flimsey in the photos.
I have a 3.4 metre tinny to get on and off the roof of a Patrol wagon. Looking for something cost effective.
Looked at the Rhino and Custom Boat Loader. Good gear but boy are they expensive for what they are.

Hi nautek, I recently traded my GU patrol but kept a boat loader rack and winch.
My 3.4 mt boat was winched onto the custom made roof rack, by my wife, while I supervised. The boat was attached by one turn buckle and we're away.
It's quick. simple, light weight and yet has carried my boat to the top of
Cape York and back trouble free. The winch attaches to the front of the GU and does not require a bull bar, although it could be altered simply, if required.
I have no further use for the rack and winch. Contact me @ gandhtozer@yahoo.com.au

Geoff,
I'm interested in how you attach the winch to the front of your GU and what sort/size winch it is. We're contemplating a similiar set-up for our yet to be purchased tinny. Already have an ARB roof rack so we were thinking of adding a pair of rollers to the back of this, bar across the front and winch the tinny up there.
