Has anyone had any luck fitting a suby in a 100 series , I have run out of options .
The idea's i came up with
1/ in the bottom of the console , but can only fit 6"
2/ make the draws shorter , and fit into the
seat side of the rear draws
but didn't want to loose draw space
3/ make a rear roof console and fit 4 x 6" sub's .
If anyone has come up with any ideas , please bring them forward now , or forever hold your piece lol .
Well after I attack the 100 with a hack saw anyway lol
Cheers all

I have a prado and I made my own draws in the back with a sealed subby box. I have had many cars with subs and the prado was the most difficult to configure/decide on placement. I believe I have come up with a winner with my choice, sound is great. I have installed Focal 6.5" splits into front door/dash, 6.5" speaks. in passenger doors, and 12" dual voice coil Clarion sub in the back by shortening 1 drawer by approximately 400mm and making that space into a sealed box infact I decided to leave that drawer out and just have an opening for storage out back. Therefore one less set of expensive drawer slides. The sub is on an angle facing the front. Top of and also front of drawerset has an opening for the sound to exit. Sub is protected from damage by heavy duty grill which can be bought at any car audio store. I have carpeted three 5/6 mm thick MDF panels and attached them to the Tradesman cargo barrier,(there are three perfect spaces in the barrier) my three amplifiers are fixed to them facing the back seats for ease of access and tuning. None of the components are visible (if concerned about theft). Total cost of drawer with sealed sub box was under $400. Did most the work myself. Mate/owner at Erpanil Kitchens in
Geelong precision cut most MDF for me and tech/audio advice as with previous audio systems came from Len Day Car Audio in
Geelong which made things easier but still not easy. Drawers actually look great like they were made professionally, no rattles no movement anywhere. Sub is only powered by 300w amp. Sealed box should be just under 1 cubic foot in volume which i think is about 30 litres.

sounds like a neat set up , i was hoping not to loose the draw space ,
I have gone for the hertz this time , I am happy , but they don't handle the base so
well , so i want to change the low frequency to the sub to help.

Rock Crawler, of the 280 litres that the drawer system takes up I have only lost about 40 litres of space. My initial concern was lost space too but as I said before I believe I have a winner of a setup. You really need to see it.

Actually I can show you how to reduce lost space even further now, maybe to 33 litres.
