Hi,

I'm wanting to by a Jayco camper. Saw one called the "Jayhawk"(different to the hawk). It is 1983 vintage and has dual wheels. The owner says not many were made.

Anyone tell me about these. The wheels seem small and the camper low to ground. It is the largest I have seen out of the poptops.

They want about $8000 for it, and the fly wires need re-doing. Is this supposed to be one up from the swan.

Chris, some of the tandems had chassis problems. Please wind the roof fully up and see if the door bottom half is straight when closed. If the chassis is bent you find the door gap is bigger at the top than at the bottom.
Make sure the roof goes up to the same hight on all four legs and closes even too. If that all looks good they are ok....... don't take it off-road.

cheers
Reiner
