Hi everyone, I have just recently purchased a GME TX3400 I would however like to program the extra channels, into it. I did ask the dealer about putting on some of the extra channels, their response was sure, it will cost you. I would imagine someone has a copy of the software, I'm perpared to pay for a copy... If you can assist please reply to my topic.

Thanks Tackles

The problem is not getting the software, I've seen some time ago it on the net for nix. The problem is the the programming lead which has "smarts" in one of the ends.

I paid the extra $15 and had the extra channels programmed in but I rarely hear anything.

Don't know why if the channels are frequently in use.

Truckster
Bought from WA supplkier who installed channels 41 to 55 inclusive.

I'm in Qld and only get a the occasional late night police on 50.

It's a 3400, anything I could be doing wrong?

Gday ev700, if the channels you have are Police Brisbane central you won't get anything as they now have encription, but I've still been able to get Caboolture/ D'bay, Kilcoy, and Ipswich. I think eventually they will all be encripted. I don't think Fire and Ambulance are encripted tho.

Cheers

Al

I believe the poilce are soon going digital -- ( as of this year or next ) so those of you that want to buy the upgraded UHF's with police channels -- save your money .....

So is it worth doing? (the extra channels)

Is there anything else the mysterious "Software" will do?

Can it annihilate the spiders in my "old bomb", where my Tx3400 resides, so I can use it again? :)

Feel free to send me a copy (if you can be "stuffed") to my email address (I'm sure it's listed there somewhere??)

If I can ever return the favor..........!
