Hi. could anyone tell me if there is any difference between a 1999 and a 2000 GXL if any. THANKS

the 2000 one is a Y2K model!

In the petrol model there is no changes. They went to IFS in the V8 around '02.

If you can still buy a good 2000 GXL with a rigid front axle then grab it.

P.S. You may want to buy shares in ULP at the same time. Mine is very thirsty.

When did they change the trim on the handle of the rear top door?

On the 1999 it just has the words Toyota LAND CRUISER

but at some point they added some additional brightwork to make a "handle" incorporating the words.

they changed it when the 5 speed autos went in them.Paul
