Good on you Pezza. We had a great time at Fraser while you were at Imbil.
Glad a few of you got along and got to know each other.
We'll try to get to the next SE Qld gathering.

Don't you hate that, I beat you by three posts. But you said it better than me, even though we share the same sentiments.
Thanks heaps for a great weekend.
Regards Trevor.

Hey Pezza,

I just read that report again... what's the go with the "ratbag old man" comment??? I'm not that old. hahaha
I get us lost so you could impress by finding our way home and you go and call me old....hmmmmm. That's the last time I make you look good.

Cheers mate.

oh heck, I will just copy and paste my reply to here also! I looked Perry and your thread was gone, must have been when you were moving it to the gathering report!

Well I have to say, that Mark and I had a fantastic time these last 4 days, just a pity all things have to end and we must return to work in order to pay for the next gathering!
We really had a wonderful time with great people who now aren't just names on a forum but friends and driving buddies also.
And as for having been in the owners of the 4wd fraternity since December 21st, it was one of the best moves we ever made... and I must say of my husband, he really did perform and you'd of thought he'd been 4wd'ing for years! he was remarkably impressive.. (at least we got that Hill climb on Perrys camera to prove it!!!) I cannot wait to see that!
Mary River Rattler... that is great Trev! he felt so embarrassed...but at least I now have back up!!!
So we will definately have to have an easter get together! any others in on that one?

Hi all,

We had a great weekend, thanks to all who were there who made it that way. Special thanks to Perry for organising it.

Some photos here imbil state forest

(hope that works as I have not posted a link on here before)

The only excuse I have for not getting to the top of the hill was tyres :). Dropped them to 25lb, all spin, no go. Then after Bob in the X90 got to the top there was no way I was staying at the bottom, so down to 20lb, lots of load pedal, and we made it up. At least it did take Bob a couple of goes though :).

I had seen a report in the past from Truckster that the Dick Cepek FCII tyres had struggled in the Vic High country once the tread filled with mud but until now I had not tried them in mud. I have been very happy with them on sand, dry dirt and bitumen but now I know to drop the pressure much lower to start with.

The night run was something different. It's interesting going over bloody big drainage humps while going up a steep hill in the dark with no idea what's on the other side.

Just wish we could have been there for the four days instead of just one and a bit.

Looking forward to the next one!!!!

Tim.

Photo's work a treat, I new someone would show me what the view was like from the top of that fire tower.
I wish you and the family were able to stay for the four days as well, as I really enjoyed your company and would love to catch up again real soon.

Regards Trevor.

Top photo's Tim, wouldn't worry too much about the hill mate, at least you made it to the top of the fire tower, which was a much bigger effort than driving up a hill, unlike some others! lol.
As Trevor mentioned, I wish we could have had more time but maybe next time.
Still glad you came, even if it was only for a day and a bit.

Hi Bob,

Here is a picture of the Roofscooterzuki that you might like. Not sure if you knew straight away that we were following you for a little while on the way home. I have added it to the album above and there are a couple of other photos in that album as well.

Hi Tim thanks for the great photo shots , always wondered what we looked like from behind, neither of us wanted to jump out while moving.I did not know you were following at the time but thought we had seen you at Kenilworth when we went through, thanks again Bob.
