Urgently needed. We can't get the parts to fix ours until March. Can't find one in any of the wreckers. New one from Nissan (will take 3 weeks!), would be $1000+. Does anyone happen to have one, or know of anyone that has one? - thanks, Jo

Petrol or diesel Jo, if it's petrol you might be able to get away with an alternator from a differant make of vehicle say a commodore just to get you by, a navara or Pintara, Maxima, even a Patrol maybe.

The AE checked and the only one that he thought might be able to fit into the casing was the Maxima, but that wouldn't fit. The car is petrol. Just found one at Frank's wreckers, and ran over and got it straight away. $170, with 6 months warranty - bargain!! Will still get our reconditioned and put that in later, and keep this 2nd hand one as a spare, we don't want this to happen again!! - Jo
