Hi,
Well it took some time to have this little gem appear however there was a major flaw in the results. The Matches field was always showing 1 due to some double reverse syntax issues in the way I built the queries to the database in the background - Dooh so the system was not reporting the results in the correct order. So the results you were getting were not the best rank/match to the queries being run.
Try your searches again now the problem has ben solved and the Matches field will show the number of word matches in the results and order the data correctly.
PS: Word matching is done on whole word so a search for "rack" will not match track or roofrack - the keyword highlighter will show track as a match to rack however I will be fixing this today so in a few hours the number of matches should match the number of keywords highlighted in the thread.

Damn!!!! I knew that was the problem all along, just couldn't find the right words to explain it. ROTFLMAO.
Cheers

Yes I know what you mean however I was looking at the results for a search on "Canning Stock Route" and I was thinking why did the threads titled
Canning Stock Route not appear at the top. Doh sounds simple does't it - but these results were down the list. Now they are at the top and the order of results is correct - Horray.

I wonder how many matched we would get for a search on "ROTFLMAO"?

David,
Would you be able to display the year somewhere?

Yeah I noticed this and will work on it - those two digits and the space required is a little harder to fit in the box that is already in that position however I will try to tweak it a little and get it in.

how about underneath the posted date eg:
Posted: dd mmm hh:mm
yyyy
you'd better make it 4 digits, you don't want to get caught out in 90 years time.

Guys,
Cannot use additional line - I added a two digit year to the current line this cost the small fee of 8 pixels in width. This seems to work OK. As for 90 years time and two digits in the year - the data is in the database, I will not care in 90 years and I am sure we will re-hash the display again in the future anyway so lets go with two digits for now.

Prompt service as usual. I only emailed you with the problem last night and it's already fixed!
Off the topic slightly I was looking at your rig pics.
Did you convince Michelle to put up with this, by offering to serve 3 course meals with a good white and candles on it from time to time?
:o)

No it was easy - it is really completely out of the way and has a section on the side to put things like book, notes pens etc etc. So for us it works really
well. Even if all 6'2" of me is sitting in the
seat it is not a problem at all.

Hi Dave,
What did you construct the laptop holder with?
Has any part of the 6'2" navigator come into contact with it whilst Michelle was driving (or vice versa for that matter)?
Does the laptop increase the navigation skills of the female exploreoz species?
Ciao for now
Andrew.

Andrew,
Construction - Pine, Hardwood, MDF, Angle brackets, nuts and bolts. Not a single hole drilled in any original part of the vehicle.
Crash contact - no I must admit even when I have been thrown around a little I have not had any direct contact. it does make it a little more difficult to bend forward to get stuff off the floor but really it does not pose and major problem at all.
Yes, however Michelle has been my navigator for a long time now and I trust her skill in this area almost without question. The computer does however make it easier to find stuff comming up ahead and look for camps etc.
