Hi all,
I was crawling around under the Navara the other day(it's a 2002 dual cab) looking for a tailshaft spline to grease and couldn't find one.
The spline on the front shaft is quite obvious, but there is nothing apparent on the rear.
I can't even see any mechanism for absorbing rear
suspension travel.(It was late!)
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks

It's been a while since I worked on a Navara but I'm sure it should have a grease nipple on the slip joint. Possibly the nipple has come out and the hole filled with dirt. Clean the whole area thoroughly and see if you can find the threaded hole. If you do, you may have to buy a genuine nipple as they are sometimes too small for Repco to stock.

HI porker,
Not familiar with the Navara but a lot of vehicles have the spline on the output shaft of the gearbox. And as such it is lubed by the gearbox oil no need to be greased. To
check just disconnect the tailshaft at the diff and the whole shaft should easily slip out of the back of the gearbox.
