I've always been impressed by the moving animations in some of members rig photos and often wondered how they were done.

Also would be interested to know how to do it for the website we are building for our travels.

Do I need an IT degree to do it. Come on, cough it up you lot .....

google 'free animated gif'. find something you like

then it's as simple as saving them by right clicking and then load to your rig photo. make sure there under 50k

Actually John they can be much bigger than 50kb if you have them at photobucket and just have the tag inserted so the browser references that particular picture. I can see your 'John' though.......... ;-)

I presume there is a programme I don't have like 'shockwave' or 'java' or I do have but is disabled. Any ideas? I know that when my son visits kid's sites the site lets you know that you will need 'shockwave to view this - do you want to download this now?' etc.

Does what you're saying apply to the rig pic also.
John

Bware,
I think you may be right, java or shockwave

Ozdyssey, the rig pic must be a maximum of 50k as specified as the system stops you loading larger. It will be the first pic in your pictures too, you have already found. It is easy enough to animate a pic of your own too. I did it with little knowledge of the Paintshop Pro animation program. Think the one I have is version 6
