A mate of mine had his house broken into, wallets stolen and patrol keys taken. The thief drove his patrol 320kms from midnight to about 3a.m and crashed it into his ex girlfriends house.(Full of drugs apparently)The car was a bees dick short of a write off and cost $12,000 and 3 months to fix.The upside is the insurance company was great and they replaced everything from tyres and brakes to all front panels and barwork.Still dont fancy some bastard caning the life out of my 4wd though.Do I have to have a point to the story?

Not really. The name of the insurance company may interest some.

That's what I always worry about, some drugged up loony targeting your house or car especially in the middle of the night. Drugged up, ten foot tall and bulletproof they become pretty brazen and worse still voilent if they're disturbed. Good case for a doberman or 2.

I beg to differ on the bullet proof bit. I sleep with 357 friends.

I have left my 4x4 unlocked once over night and had the thing looked through. The guy took around $3 - 4 in coins - all my tools - nah to much trouble they just want money now and not have to "do" anything to get it. I suppose cashies probably get to know the type of people who have never worked a day in their life & are trying to sell off a heap of power tools.

F4phantom

There's a pawn broker on the way when I go work in the morning. Almost every day there's some shady characters hanging around the shop, with bags full of stuff, wating for the shop open. Some are regulars.

You're right J.T. - someones always worse off! I was upset last week because one of the neighbourhood dogs absconded during the night with my shoes. Until the next day I saw a gentleman with no feet!
