We will be up the Cape in August and need to go from Bramwell Stn over to the coast around the Olive River and Bolt Head to look for some rare plants, Raster maps show a track over to the coast. Does Bramwell Stn go right over to the coast?

Anyone been over there?

Thanks

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

I know that Bramwell goes through to the Olive river, but not sure about the coast.
Best idea is to give them a ring, but not until the end of the wet season. They usually do not stay during the wet.

I tried looking for the number but I can't seem to find it.

Best of luck.

I was at Bramwell in September and the owners were planning to open up some good routes to the coast....Didn't catch all the detail...just enjoying sitting at their new open air barlistening to them tell us about their plans for new challenges and things to do for the travellers coming through...You'd need to contact them to see how far along their plans are.
Great friendly people at Bramwell. Great place to stop, with or without a trip to the coast.

Thanks Gina,

I found their phone # so will give them a ring,

We are looking for cycads/cycas, those funny looking things which sorta look like palm trees.

Thanks,

Bruce

Bruce, are you looking for a particular type of cycad? I know of cycads growing in Central Australia. There are also cycads found in the top of the Northern Territory. Just interested to kow what you are looking for. Cheers,W
