Sorry it's not the reply your looking for, but have you got the zipper already attached to the canvas and if so why not just get the KK room directly from KK, that way you know it's going to fit properly. If you haven't got the zipper attached to the canvas how are you going to attach the room to the tent?

Hi Gronk
I have not seen the room only in photos and it seems quite narrow i thought i would need it to be a little wider as we need to sleep a toddler alongside a porta cot. We have the zip.

Hi Mattie,
We have a new KK Limited Edition and when we ordered it we had the zip sewn on the right side door opening and then purchased the ensuite which just zips on in less than a minute....KK also do the kids room which is twice the size of the ensuite. Details and pricing is on the KK web site or give the factory a call in Ballina.

Hope this helps

Mattie,

I would echo the comments of Fox and Gronk above.

You have to have the "second zip" installed on your canvas.

We have found the Kid's bedroom quite good to use. It was a bit fiddly the first time putting it up (getting the zip aligned), but after that it was easy.

Despite the pictures in the KK website showing a bunk bed for the b'room, our Kids sleep side by side with no problems at all (16 yrs and 11 yrs).

It's easy to pack up and put away.

I can't recall the cost but I'm sure it's on the KK website somewhere.

Cheers

I remember that pic.

How are you mate? Been to any confluence points recently? We claimed one north of White Cliffs on our own.

Trust the Missus and kids are doing well.

Good to see you have joined the ranks of the CT owners.

Hi Steve
It sounds as if the kids room may be wide enough to have a toddler sleeping along sidfe of a porta cot? I have not seen a kids room put up aand have not been able to find the dimensions of it.
How long does the room take to put up once practiced?

Mattie,

There's plenty of room for a toddler to sleep next to a porta-cot.

Lay the canvas out - align the zip - zip it around (from the inside) - stick velcro bits on - erect 2 tent poles --- say 5ish minutes if you have a helper (or a bit longer stuffing around with guy ropes and what not). You can bang about a billion pegs into it around the base if you want - but that takes extra time.

Maybe take 10 minutes if doing it single-handed.

First time you do it, it'll be 10 to 15 minutes.

Duncs,

We liked the convenience of your Trak Shak on our SD trip - so we finally bit the bullet and got a KK. It beats the heck out of putting up tents and knocking them down again if moving every day. Just about every time we have taken the KK out, it has poured with rain. At least we've proven it's waterproof.

We're looking at doing a trip to Karajini and Rudall River in July - I haven't assessed it for "Confluence-ability" yet but wiil so soon. I work quite close to one (E121 S28 only about 15 km away) but haven't gone out to check it out yet.

Keyla and the girls are just fine.

Cheers
