Well, I've just dropped the Aluminium Toyota Bull bar and Genuine Tow Bar and rear bar off the Landcruiser, and replaced them with

* Kaymar Rear Bar with dual wheel carriers
* ARB Sahara Bar with winch mount

Both of these are refurbished - stripped down some second hand ones I picked up off eBay, sandblasted and powder coated them, replaced some of the aging rubber/plastic and now things are looking pretty good.

Only problem is, the control box for my winch has the usual brackets with hooks on one side and screw on the other, and I have no where to mount it on the Sahara bar.

Where are people putting their winch control boxes on ARB Sahara bars? How are they mounting them?

Ciao for now
Andrew who thinks Kaymar engineers must like making work for their installation teams - numerous captive nuts and counter-intuitive assembly steps!

Personally, I would mount it under the bonnet. Keeps it dry and away from those who you do not want to use it.
