Has anybody any helpfull information on replacing a Hilux 2L motor with a 5L?. What has to be changed to match it to the gearbox (bellhousing,input shaft,etc).

Hi I am not real shure but I think the engine will bolt up to the gearbox and the engine mounts as the bottom half is basicaly the same. Re plumbing and re wiring will be required. I do not think accesories like power steer pump and air con will fit without modification.

While you are looking at an engine swap price up a commodore v6 conversion. Very common and you should be able to get a drive in drive out price from
places that specialize in these conversions
