Hi there folks,

What do you do when the rubber feet that hold the compressor to it's base shear off (though a little rough riding in the back of the cruiser)?

Any ideas for a more robust solution than simple rubber feet?

Many Thanks
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Go to a rubber store, In SA there is Clark rubber , not sure if its Aus wide. They have every type of rubber bush , feet , end caps etc you can imagine. They also sell polyeurathane which is more robust.
Or go to a dealer of conveyor belt rubber and beg for a small off cut, they usually throw out heaps any way. this stuff has fabric reinforcing and is tough as!

I keep mine in a three ply box I made for while in transit. I just bolted it to a ply base and the top and sides of box slide over with clips that secure it in place. Sturdy hadle on top.

In my previous dualcab the ARB was siliconed to a slab of rubber behind the rear seat, didn't move until I ripped it up before sale.

Hi Andrew

Repco sell a rubber mounting for air filter boxes. It has a m6 stud sticking out each side of a rubber bock about 25mm diameter and 12mm thick. Like a baby engine mounting $8.00ea.

Hey about that tag along photo trip to Qld. Send me some info with prices and I will see how many people I can rustle up. I was at the sand blow Raibow Beach this weekend. WOW !!

Regards Derek
