Evening all

Have finally done it. Became a member after a few years of freeloading. Must say that this is the most pleasant 4x4 site around and have enjoyed myself reading the various posts. A number of you crack me up, you are truly good for the soul. One thing is for sure, I will not let you know which model GU I drive, that way " Mr Truckster" can't have a go on this my first time. Go easy on the ExplorOz virgin.

Anyhow, the main reason I am here is to ask those that have purchased Coil-rites from Trucksprings in the USA, if they still have the dimentions. The part number often quoted is not to be found on their website, nor was an e-mail of any help. So being lazy, rather than repeating the process of measuring, can anyone here remember the sizes. Thanks in advance and please continue to provide the best entertainment and greatest advise. Looking forward to spending even more time here in the future.

G'day Hagar and welcome to the mad-house.
I have Polyairs so I can't help with the answer to your question.....however..... why not (assuming nobody on here knows the part number either), go to a local supplier of Coil Rites and sus out what the part number is?
Cheers and I look forward to seeing you on here from now on. Next time we have a SA "picnic", we'll have to make sure all the new blokes come along.

Hi Hagar

I installed Coilrites in my 2002 4.8 auto GU.

Part number CR-4129. I paid $355.30 inc GST in August 2002.

Purchased from Toolern Engineering in Vic, phone 03 9746 1484.

Job was straightforward without removing springs.
Happy 4 wheeling

Thanks to you all for your comments. Alas, the part number CR-4129 does not exist on the Trucksprings website. Never mind, under the car and out with the tape.

By the way, "Truckster" has cost me $10, I had a bet with my loved one that he would be rather quick to make a comment on our choice of vehicle.........................Three days and nothing. Ahh well.

Hi Hagar,
I purchased my Coil - Rites by Firestone from Trucksprings USA on 5 of April 2005,
Full adress is...
Michigan Truck springs
3649 Wolf Road
Saginaw
48601
USA

cost was US$86.00 freight US$39.10.
Product Identification on the box is as follows..
Product Number.... W23-760-4129
Description ...CR-4129
Lot Number.. IB# 00114
I just contacted them via www.truskspring.com
They where very easy to deal with all the parts needed to suit the patrol ( mine is the series 4 model) freight time was about a week
Easy to follow instructions and fitted them in about 1 hour.
Mounted the both air line valves between the two fuel filler caps positioned as far right as the lock nut will allow.
hope this helps, regards Rob

Thanks Rob, this info is greatly appreciated. I found the correct part in the online cattledog without problems. Have ordered them and I am sure they will compensate for the weight of all the "crap" in the back plus the camper trailer.
Thanks heaps, shows the real value of this site.

Hagar
