I have a 2003 V6 Triton, with 76K on the clock. Having only recently bought the vehicle, when I had it serviced the mechanic said the AC was very noisy - and that maybe the clutch in the compressor is going.

Has anyone had a similar problem. I dont know if the warranty is transferrable to a second owner?

To me you can definatly hear the comptressor when it clicks in, sligtly rattly - but not alrming...yet. Should I be worried...or just wait until it dies?

Mines an '03 and I had similar probs at about 40,000k mark... They ended up replacing the compressor under warranty... As to the warranty being transferable, not sure on that one...

The last one I repaired was just a loose clutch. The front size 12 nut has falled off and all it required was a spring washer and nyloc nut.
