Anthony
Today, I traded the ’92 hilux (getting $8,600) on a ’03 GX Prado (64,000 kms old) for $30K change over. The GX has a few extras, factory ABS, cruise control, side steps, b/bar, cargo barrier & 12 mths rego.
A few days earlier, the new sales Toyota dealer was trying hard to sell me a new ’05 plated GXL Prado V6 manual 6 speed on-road for $47,500 (or $39,500 change over with the hilux) but I wanted a diesel and while I did liked the V6 power the cost was more than the budget would allow.
Now … time to do a few mod’s to the GX and get it dirty before I start to miss the old hilux - the kids already do.
