Looks like NO-ONE is going to guess the name of the tunnel in the comp.

What's say we jackpot the prize, have a different photo, like of Ayres Rock or something, something a little easier, and shoot the photographer who has stumped us?

I'm guessing it's an old Narrow Gauge Rail tunnel, but that's where I come unstuck, because of the flat section running along the top of it.

Top idea!

The tunnel with no name, a fitting end to the torment wreaked upon us.

May the bats peck his eyes out, and the worms devour him, leaving only his skeleton. When the tunnel is rediscovered (because only four people have ever seen it, the 3 in the photo, and the photographer...), they will call it the skeleton cave..... in QLD, btw....

Yep, I'm with you guys - sick of going in to look at the last few entries - I'm stumped. Say, is there a website somewhere with a list of tunnels - how come there are so many guessed tunnels? Don't remember seeing tunnels marked on any maps I have? Choo choo trains don't go through many anymore either. How come so many people know about tunnels? And why are all the last few competition pics about tunnels?

adelaide is so far behind the rest of Australia when it comes to freeways/motorways...after all we have engineers here that build expressways..er ...part-time only and one way of course And with exits to the right?? where or who else can do this...No-one! Can go on with this gripe for hours ...

but any how I am amazed no-one has been able to figure it out.....its so obvious what it is....The Heysen Tunnel on our South East Freeway

I reckon it's a bridge and not a tunnel as such

Wolfie,

I'm convinced it is the Muntapa tunnel. Ive been there and would bet money (not much!) that it is Muntapa.

I don't think it's Gorge Tunnel or Dalveen.

I'm now starting to think it's not actually a tunnel but infact a mine entrance. More research required.

Either that or it is Muntapa and David has it recorded under a different name!
